Dr. Hattermann is the Director of Research Programs
and the Radiation Safety Officer for LANDIS and has eleven years’
experience performing and managing laboratory and field research programs in the
area of agricultural research and development.
The goal of his work is the registration of agricultural chemical products with
the U.S. EPA.
Dr. Hattermann has successfully conducted and managed GLP raw
agricultural commodity, processed commodity, dissipation (terrestrial and
aquatic), nature of residue, and radiolabelled crop rotational studies
throughout the U.S., as well as in South and Central America.
Prior to study initiation, he has trained cooperating scientists in the
conduct of GLP studies and in proper record keeping and adherence to
regulations. He has managed
laboratory as well as field project phases in these studies to ensure compliance
with SOPs and GLP regulations. Management
experience has included residue trials on crops from most major crop groups in
several locations in the U.S.
Dr. Hattermann has developed definitive protocols and final reports
which meet or exceed regulatory requirements and client research/development
objectives.
Dr. Hattermann earned his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University
of Illinois followed by a post doctoral appointment in the Microbiology
Department at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
He also received his M.S. in Botany and received double B.S. in Botany
and Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University.
