Dr. Hummel is a Director of Research and Study Director for Landis
International. He has 13 years of experience in
agricultural research. Dr. Hummel has designed, managed and carried out investigations in
field, vegetable and orchard crops, including RAC, terrestrial field
dissipation, dislodgeable foliar residue, application exposure and Experimental
Use Permit studies. He also has considerable experience in crop maintenance,
sampling, pest scouting and pesticide application. In recent years, Dr. Hummel
has completed GLP efficacy studies on several Public Health Use pests, including
cockroaches, fire ants, flies, mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, wasps and hornets.
Dr. Hummel earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in entomology from North
Carolina State University and received his B.S. in biology from the University
of Tampa.
