Michaella Lee, Ph.D.

Dr. Lee is a Research and Development Scientist at Landis International Inc.  She has 18 years of research experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. She joined Landis in October 2009 and has been working with Landis regulatory staffs in submissions of new pesticide registrations and studies that are required for registrations.

Dr. Lee earned her Ph.D. in Genetic Engineering from Kyung Hee University, Suwon, South Korea and received her M.S. and B.S. in biology from Chonnam National University, Kwangju, South Korea.  She received postdoctoral training for more than 6 years at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas (U.S.A.). Her research interests include combinatorial selection of thioaptamers targeting cellular & viral proteins; heparin-protein interations; DNA repair mechanisms at biochemical & cellular levels; biochemical understanding of the function of tumor suppressor gene, TIS21; cellular mechanism of hepatocarcinogenesis.
