WM. Ronald Landis, Ph.D.

Dr. Ron Landis is Co-founder and CEO of Landis International, Inc.  He has over 40 years of experience in the agricultural research and development area and has been actively working with and negotiating with the USDA/EPA since 1969, before the present-day EPA was formed.  Dr. Landis’s time is divided between regulatory consultation activities and overseeing the project management activities of Landis International.

With the founding of Landis in 1982, Dr. Landis introduced the concept of contract project management into the agricultural chemical realm.  Prior to this, he had twelve years’ experience developing his project management skills in the agricultural chemical industry. He has developed contract ag-chem project management from its beginnings in 1982 to today’s computer-assisted project and program management.

Dr. Landis and Landis International’s approach to working with the U.S. EPA is unique in the industry in that they take a cooperative, non-confrontational, problem-resolution approach.  His reputation as an individual who can obtain positive regulatory results is largely owing to this, both throughout the industry and with the EPA, as well as his ability to see the implications of alternative regulatory tactics and strategies.

Dr. Landis earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Plant Pathology from Michigan State University, and received his B.S. in Botany from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
